This is a 12 Months National Diploma programme in Dental Nursing in Basingstoke area. Basingstoke is the Forward Academic Team’s expanded learning center in Hampshire, United Kingdom. This 12 months qualification enables students to study the Theory side of the course as well as the Practical aspect in Dental Clinic, as a course mandatory requirement.

Anyone who is interested in this course is eligble to join if he/she is atleast 18 years old and is able to work as a Trainee Dental Nurse in the dental practice. No previous qualification and experiences are required to join this course. During the course, the applicant will work as a Trainee Dental Nurse till course complete. After full completion of the course, Trainee can practice as a GDC registred Dental Nurse in the United Kingdom.

Course Objectives

This course is designed to get all students to achieve their NEBDN Level 3 Diploma in Dental Nursing so that you can work as a qualified dental nurse and complete your General Dental Council (GDC) registration and continue on dental career pathway.

Learning Methodology

The qualification focuses on college learning with direct chair-side work and support during a range of dental treatments. It encompasses the underpinning ethics, professionalism, teamwork and communication required to work as a dental nurse. Assessment is done through the final exam and ROE assessment.

Placement Availability

Learners will need to be working or on practical placement to be able to show competence in both knowledge and skills. It is recommended that a minimum of 16 hours per week be spent in a real work environment either in a part-time or full-time basis.
