NEBDN Level 3 Diploma in Dental Nursing in London

NEBDN Diploma is the qualification certification requirement to be a GDC registered dental nurse in the London, UK. To enrol into this course, there is no requirement for prior experience within the dental practice setting. But during the course along with either online or face-to-face lectures, the clinical practical studies involve working within the dental practice to gain practical knowledge which helps in improvising the skills set of the individual personally and professionally. In addition to a paid position on an hourly basis.

Students will attend two classes per month on weekends (In-person course) and also work in Dental Practices as their placement that is required by the course. Students after completion of 12 months course will appear for the exam and if qualified will be awarded a certificate from NEBDN and the college. On average, our students in placement are earning £9 – £11 per hour in Dental Practices as a Trainee Dental Nurse.

Learning Methodology

The qualification focuses on college learning with direct chair-side work and support during a range of dental treatments. It encompasses the underpinning ethics, professionalism, teamwork and communication required to work as a dental nurse. Assessment is done through the final exam and ROE assessment.

Assessment Method

The qualification is assessed using a formative workplace assessment, the Record of Experience (ROE), which enables the workplace team to become an integral part of the training of the trainee dental nurse. The summative assessment comprises a written (Single Best Answer (SBA) and Extended Matching Questions (EMQ)) and practical (Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE)) component aimed at assessing
