Forward Academic Team proudly marks its 10th anniversary, celebrating a decade of contribution to dental nursing education in the UK. The milestone reflects ten years of learner success, strong partnerships, and continued commitment to quality training and professional development.

Celebrating 10 Years of Forward Academic Team
In January 2026, Forward Academic Team proudly marks a significant milestone – ten years of dedication to dental nursing education in the UK. What began as a clear and purposeful vision has grown into a trusted NEBDN-accredited training provider, supporting learners from diverse backgrounds to build sustainable and rewarding careers in dental nursing.
Over the past decade, Forward Academic Team has remained focused on quality, integrity, and learner-centred education. From early intakes to the present day, the organisation has continuously evolved, adapting to changes in the profession while maintaining high academic and professional standards.
A Note of Thanks
On this 10th anniversary, Forward Academic Team extends its sincere thanks to its dedicated staff, committed tutors, and hardworking learners. Special appreciation is also given to the NEBDN and its team, as well as partner dental practices across the UK, for their continued trust, collaboration, and support.
Ten years have been shaped by shared effort and belief. The journey continues, with the same commitment to quality, professionalism, and learner success that has defined Forward Academic Team from the very beginning.
A Journey Built on Purpose and Progress
Forward Academic Team was established with one core aim: to create accessible, structured, and supportive pathways into dental nursing. Over ten years, this commitment has translated into thousands of learners being guided through their training journey, gaining recognised qualifications and progressing into dental practices across the UK.
The course delivery, assessment methods, and learner support systems have been regularly reviewed and strengthened to align with regulatory requirements and the practical needs of the dental sector. This steady progress reflects not only organisational growth, but also the collective effort of tutors, staff, learners, and partner practices.
Reflections from the Team
Marking the anniversary week, Director Sangita Marahatta reflected on the journey, noting that the past ten years have been shaped by resilience, learning, and strong relationships. She highlighted that Forward Academic Team’s success has always been rooted in its people – those who teach, those who support behind the scenes, and those who place their trust in the organisation to guide their careers.
Shekhar, Programme Manager, reflected on the continuous development of the course, highlighting regular curriculum updates, improved learning platforms, and structured delivery aligned with NEBDN standards and the needs of the dental sector.
From an operational and learner support perspective, Khagesori, PoE and Operations Coordinator, shared how rewarding it has been to see learners grow in confidence and capability. She emphasised the importance of structured guidance, clear communication, and consistent support in helping students progress through class activities and successfully complete their Portfolio of Evidence.
Sushmita, Enrolment and Qualifications Coordinator, spoke about guiding learners from their first enquiry through enrolment and qualification, emphasising clear onboarding, accurate information, and consistent administrative support.
Puja, Learner Placement Support Coordinator, highlighted the importance of practical experience, sharing how learners are supported in securing placements and transitioning confidently into dental practices across the UK.
As a tutor, Dr Rojina spoke about the positive learning environment that has been developed over the years. She highlighted the strong academic support offered to learners and the importance of creating a space where students feel encouraged, understood, and confident to ask questions and develop professionally.
Tutor Jermaine echoed these sentiments, reflecting on how the course structure and teaching approach support learners from a wide range of backgrounds. He noted that seeing students apply their knowledge in practice and move closer to their professional goals remains one of the most rewarding aspects of teaching at Forward Academic Team.
Contribution to the UK Dental Nursing Sector
The dental nursing sector plays a vital role in the wider UK healthcare system, and Forward Academic Team is proud to contribute to its continued strength. By preparing learners with the knowledge, skills, and professional values required in modern dental practice, the organisation supports both individual career development and the wider workforce.
Strong collaboration with NEBDN (National Examining Board for Dental Nurses), along with partner dental practices across the UK, ensures that training remains relevant, compliant, and aligned with industry expectations. This partnership approach has been central to maintaining quality and consistency over the years.
Looking Ahead
As Forward Academic Team enters its next chapter, the focus remains firmly on continuous improvement. Upcoming plans include further strengthening learner support, enhancing digital learning platforms, and maintaining close engagement with the dental sector to respond to future needs.
While this anniversary is a moment to reflect, it is also an opportunity to look forward with confidence and purpose.
