This course will develop registered dental nurses, who routinely assist during dental radiographic procedures, to practice competently and have a greater understanding of radiographic techniques being carried out in their workplace.
Course Structure
Course Duration: 6 Months | Class Mode: Online | Class Days: Weekly based online class on weekend
Students enrolled in the NEBDN Accredited Dental Radiography Course must maintain consistent progress and complete their Record of Competence (RoC) to a high standard. Successful completion of the RoC is essential to qualify for the final examination.
Practical Supervision and Witnessing
This course requires direct supervision for every radiograph you take. Supervision is provided by one or more qualified witnesses within your practice, who will validate your work for the RoC.
Structure of the RoC
The RoC is divided into three key sections:
- Practical Competence Assessment Sheets (PCAS): Document your ability to safely and effectively perform radiographic procedures under supervision.
- Case Studies: Provide detailed analyses of specific cases, showcasing your critical thinking and application of theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios.
- Supplementary Outcomes: Complete additional tasks and assignments to reinforce your understanding of radiographic principles, safety, and compliance with regulatory standards.
Each section of the RoC must be completed to a high standard and verified by your practice witnesses to ensure you meet the professional and academic requirements for this qualification.
